association between CKD-associated pruritus and quality of life in patients undergoing hemodialysis presenting to nephrology division, Khyber teaching hospital Peshawar

Background and Aim: Chronic kidney disease-associated pruritus (CKD-aP), commonly known as uremic is a frequent inconvenient disease for patients undergoing hemodialysis. The purpose of the present investigation was to determine association CKD-associated with quality life in hemodialysis presented nephrology division Khyber Teaching Hospital Peshawar. Patients Methods: This cross-sectional study conducted on 227 investigated Nephrology Division Peshawar from March 2022 February 2023. either gender (>18 years) were enrolled. Demographic details, dialysis duration, duration disease, various comorbidities conditions recorded based pre-designed questionnaire. Results: Out patients, there 142 (62.6%) male 85 (37.4%) female. overall mean age 40.82±6.82 years. incidence 68.7% (n=156). presence such diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, cardiovascular found 30 (13.2%), 124 (54.6%), 16 (7.0%), 6 (2.6%) respectively. CKD 34.4 [12.0–48.0] months 22.8 [12.0–36.0]
